Spend an inspiring day at Thailand’s largest wildlife rescue centre and elephant refuge, located just a short drive from Hua Hin and Cha-Am. This guided experience gives you a unique insight into wildlife conservation in Thailand and the incredible work done to rescue, rehabilitate and protect abused and endangered animals – always with animal welfare as the top priority.

Time Schedule – Full Day & Half Day Experience

10:00 – 10:15
Introduction video in the conference room.
10:20 – 12:10
Guided walking tour through the Wildlife Rescue Centre. Visit rescued elephants, bears, monkeys, nocturnal animals, gibbons in forest enclosures and many other species.
12:15 – 13:15
Lunch at the I-Love-Phants Lodge or Stripes Restaurant (Thai buffet, vegetarian & vegan options).
Half Day ends
The Half Day Experience finishes after lunch.
13:15 – 14:15
Driving tour along the Elephant Rescue Centre, Wildlife Open Enclosures and Ape Islands.
14:15 – 14:45
Driving and walking tour at the Big Cat Rescue Centre (tigers, leopards and other rescued cats).
14:45 – 15:30
Meet & greet session and feeding the elephants.

Times are approximate and may vary slightly depending on group size, animal welfare needs and daily operations at the sanctuary.

What is the difference between the Half Day and Full Day tour?

The Half Day Experience includes the guided tour and lunch and finishes after the meal. The Full Day Experience continues after lunch with visits to the Tiger Rescue Centre and Bear Sanctuary, followed by extended time at the elephant refuge.

Is the tour suitable for children?

Yes. Families often enjoy this tour because it is educational, safe and well-paced. Comfortable shoes and sun protection are recommended, and children should follow the guide’s instructions around animals.

How physically demanding is the visit?

The visit is suitable for most travellers with normal mobility. The tour combines easy walking with open-bus transport around the sanctuary grounds, so you don’t need to walk long distances.

Is lunch included and are there vegetarian/vegan options?

Yes. A Thai buffet lunch is included and vegetarian and vegan options are always available. There is also a filtered water refill station at the restaurant for free refills.

What should I bring?

Bring comfortable clothes and walking shoes, sunscreen, insect repellent, and a camera or phone (no flash photography). A reusable water bottle is recommended, and a raincoat is useful in the rainy season.
