Phuket Country Club – Classic Resort Course with Iconic Hole 10

Phuket Country Club, opened in 1989 as the island’s first international golf course, remains a favorite for both visitors and locals. Conveniently located in the center of Phuket, the course winds through rolling hills, limestone cliffs and lush tropical forest. It is relatively short by modern standards (6,484 yards from the back tees), making it playable for all levels – but its clever layout ensures plenty of challenge even for experienced golfers.

The signature feature is the par-5 10th hole – one of Thailand’s most famous. Measuring 557 yards, it loops almost 180 degrees around a massive lake. The safe option is a three-shot route flirting with water all the way, while bold players may attempt the dramatic shortcut across the lake from the forward tees, a shot that can reach the green in one.

Course & Facilities

The front nine is tight and hilly, demanding accuracy with several tricky greens and elevation changes. The back nine is more open, with water hazards and the famous island green par-3 17th. The clubhouse features excellent dining at fair prices, new changing rooms and a large practice area.
