Course and playing experience

The front nine is surprisingly flat and open, but challenges come thick and fast. From the endless sand traps guarding the opening fairway to the twin greens at the 5th hole – regularly switched to vary the challenge – there’s plenty to keep even the most seasoned players engaged. With countless risk/reward opportunities and centreline hazards, the course demands thoughtful shot-making. At over 7,250 yards from the back tees, it also requires aggression off the tee if you want to score.

The back nine truly lives up to the “Rolling Hills” name, featuring dramatic elevation changes, greens framed by massive mounds, and a layout clearly designed to accommodate international tournaments with excellent spectator views. The par-5 15th, guarded by a 19-foot pot bunker known as the “Wall of Death,” is one of the most memorable holes in Thailand. The final stretch is equally dramatic: a drivable par-4 17th full of risk, followed by a closing dogleg around a lake to a green heavily protected by bunkers.
