Course and playing experience

The round begins with a couple of gentle, picturesque par-4s before you reach hole 3 – the signature par-3 playing across a large lake to a narrow target framed by bunkers. Holes 6 and 7 both demand accurate approaches over water, while the long par-4 9th is notoriously tough, often into the wind and with bunkers guarding the right side of the fairway.

On the back nine, fewer holes feature water, but strategically placed bunkers add challenge, particularly around the 11th, 13th and 14th. Hole 16 is another highlight, a short par-3 to a beautiful island green. The dual fairways on hole 17 give you options off the tee, before the closing par-5 provides a chance to finish with a birdie.
