Hong Island – Fullday tour with lunch from Khao Lak

Touted as a dream destination for nature lovers and thrill-seekers, Hong Island remains a hidden gem in Thailand, drawing only a handful of visitors. The island derives its name from weathered caves nestled at its core, concealing a lake with limited sea access. The entrance to this enchanting site can only be traversed during a brief window of approximately one hour each day.

When the tide permits, exploration of Hong Island’s interior is made possible by canoe. During low tide, however, the caves are exposed, obstructed by sharp-edged stones and mud, while high tide submerges the entrance underwater. This natural phenomenon adds to the island’s allure and spectacle.

In addition to Hong Island, our journey takes you to a bat-filled cave, an exhilarating spot nestled amid mangrove jungles and limestone karsts. As one of the fortunate few to witness the hidden beauty of Phang Nga Bay, this unique experience is not to be missed.

To replenish your energy, we’ll make a stop at a charming restaurant in the fishing village of Koh Panyee, where you can savor delicious local cuisine. This pause also offers time to explore the surroundings. As the day of adventure concludes, we’ll visit Phang Nga Park upon returning to the mainland, providing an opportunity to marvel at beautiful caves, a temple, and perhaps catch a glimpse of wild monkeys.
