14-Day Bangkok, River Kwai, and Hua Hin Adventure

Experience the vibrant city life of Bangkok, the historical significance of the River Kwai, and the serene beaches of Hua Hin in this comprehensive journey.

Day 1: Arrival to Bangkok

Upon arrival at Bangkok Airport you will meet your driver, who will take you to your hotel in central Bangkok. The rest of the day is at your disposal. Overnight stay at Chatrium Hotel Riverside or Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Bangkok Menam Riverside.

Day 2-3: Bangkok (B)

A good opportunity to walk around and enjoy the huge city with its fabulous shopping. We recommend also taking a small trip, like a bike ride. Overnight stay in Bangkok.

Day 4: Bangkok – Float House River Kwai (B/L/D)

Pick-up early in the morning (around 6-6.30 am) from your hotel in Bangkok and drive to the Float House in Kanchanaburi. On the way we will stop by the War Cemetery and the Bridge Over The River Kwai. We will check in at the hotel and then have a nice lunch. In the afternoon there is a visit to the Hellfire Pass Memorial, where we will take a walk along the track of the former Thailand-Burma railway.

Back at camp you can relax before taking a bike ride to the nearby village. Returning to the camp again, a nice dinner under the stars will be waiting. You will stay in comfortable and charming luxury tents with the sound of the jungle, like a gentle lullaby. Overnight stay is directly by the river on the Float House, Hintok or Home Phutoey River Kwai Resort.

Day 5: River Kwai (B/L/D)

For those of you who would like to, and are able, to get up early, you can take a bike ride or walk to the nearby temple, where you can experience the daily ritual of the monks collecting food from the locals. Afterwards you can have breakfast back at the camp. After check-out, a long-tailed boat will take you to a local Mon tribe village. The ethnic Mon tribe is of Burmese origin and fortunately they still maintain their own culture and language. Take a walk around the village or take an optional elephant ride through the bamboo forest (additional fee). Afterwards you drive to your hotel, where you will have lunch. The afternoon is at your disposal. In the evening you will watch a traditional Mon tribal dance show. Overnight stay at the Float House, Hintok or Resotel.

Day 6: River Kwai – Hua Hin (B)

After breakfast you get some free time until after lunch, when you will take a ride on the historic train on the railway of death. After the train ride, you get transported to your hotel in Hua Hin. Overnight stay at one of our recommended hotels in Hua Hin such as G Hua Hin Resort & Spa or The Standard Hua Hin .

Day 7-13: Hua Hin (B)

The days are at your disposal. Hua Hin has a large selection of restaurants and is one of Thailand’s best places to enjoy freshly caught seafood.

Hua Hin offers lots of options for activities, amazing experiences and exciting excursions. Also, in 2013 Hua Hin was voted the best golf place in the East. You can also take a trip to Sam Roi Yod or the Pala U Waterfall in Kaeng Krachan, take a snorkeling trip to the small lovely island of Koh Talu or of course just relax on the beach with a good book. Overnight stay at Hua Hin.

Day 14

Departure from Hua Hin (B)
Pick-up at your hotel and drive to Bangkok Airport for your flight home.
