Khao Sok Discovery, Elephants & Jungle Lake Safari

Arrival to Discovery & the Khao Sok National Park
You will be picked up at your hotel and driven to Khao Sok National Park, which is located halfway between Krabi and Phuket. It is truly one of the most beautiful places in all of Thailand. Along the way, you will get a glimpse of rural life in tropical Southern Thailand. The first stop is at an elephant camp, where you get close to the giant animals. You can see and touch them and help feed them.

To greet the elephants is an educational and fantastic experience for young ones and adults. It is time for a nice Thai lunch and then on to a fantastic canoe ride. You do not paddle yourself – your guide will do that for you. Before departure, you will receive a life jacket. Lean back and enjoy the peacefulness with a view of the limestone mountains, only found in Halong, Vietnam and Guilin, China. With a bit of luck, you will see hornbills and reptiles lying and tanning on rocks by the riverside, while you both hear and see monkeys swinging in the trees.

Full of experiences we continue to the Khao Sok Discovery, where we will stay overnight in luxury tents with real beds, electricity, ceiling fans, kettles, mosquito nets on windows and doors and a bathroom with toilet and shower – exactly what you need after a long and exciting day. Use the afternoon to relax and enjoy the spectacular view and silence before dinner.

Khao Sok National Park – Cheow Larn Lake
After a lovely breakfast in the jungle we will leave Khao Sok Discovery and move towards a stay at the Cheow Larn Lake. Cheow Larn is about 60 kilometers north to south with more than 100 limestone cliffs. It is a fantastic sight. The rest of the stay will be spent on the lake with sailing trips and exploring of the caves in the area. If you want, you can also go for a refreshing swim.

Discovery offers simple accommodations in rooms on pontoons on the lake with regular access to shore. Each room has access to the lake, so you can jump in directly. If you would rather go sailing, you can take a ride in a sea kayak, which is anchored by the bridge. Dinner is at the floating restaurant and afterwards you can enjoy the silence only disturbed by the sounds of the animals.

Cheow Larn Lake – Transport to hotel or airport in Southern Thailand
Wake up to the sound of nature and a view that people dream of. Enjoy a great breakfast and then go for an organized trek in the area, through a dense bamboo forest and past small streams. It is a warm trip because of high humidity, but the nature makes it a fantastic experience.

Late in the morning you are back at the camp and after the hot trek, a swim is very tempting. Soon it is lunch time and time to say goodbye to the Cheow Larn Lake and the magical Khao Sok. After a sailing trip with a long-tailed boat, the minibus is ready to bring you back to the hotel or to the airport.
