The place is very suitable for families and the atmosphere is quiet and cozy. Koh Kood Beach Resort is a Danish owned resort, located on the west coast of this tropical island. Koh Kood is about an hour by boat from Koh Chang facing Cambodia.
Combine your visit to Koh Chang with a detour to Koh Kood, which is even more laid-back than the larger sized Koh Chang.

The atmosphere is quiet, cozy and family friendly. Usually quite a few Danish families with children stay here, but you won’t find Danish flags or any traditional Danish dishes on the menu. The resort has a good private beach right next to the little palmtree-covered bay Klong Mat, named after the nearby fishing village, which is always worth a visit. Koh Kood Beach Resort consists of 16 Bali huts, 8 Thai duplexes and one Thai family house. All room types have private bath/toilet, fan, air conditioning, minibar and a large private terrace, where you can sit and enjoy the view of the ocean. The Thai family house and all the Thai duplexes are equipped with a nice hot tub on the terrace. The 340 m2 Thai family house can house maximum 6 people and consists of a large duplex with two bedrooms, two living rooms and a dining room. The exclusive location is private and peaceful. It is placed in a lovely garden, where you can barbecue, overlooking the ocean.

Koh Kood Beach Resort’s facilities include a beautiful swimming pool, free rental of kayaks, snorkeling equipment and bikes, as well as free internet access in the restaurant. A wide selection of good and cheap Thai dishes is served,  also seafood and a small selection of European food. In the restaurant you can enjoy the spectacular sunsets.

The resort has its own dive shop, that organizes courses and diving. If the weather is good, daily trips are organized to a pearl farm, a fishing village and a waterfall with picnic at the nearby beaches. All trips can be booked and bought at the reception.
