Anantara Bangkok Riverside

Anantara Bangkok Riverside is one of Go24’s absolute favorites in the metropolis for many good reasons.

The resort is the definition of luxury and good service. The location is by the Chao Phraya River but a few kilometers further down than the other well-known riverside hotels, such as Shangri La or Oriental. The hotel has its own boats, sailing every 15 minutes to and from Saphan Taksin with access by Skytrain to all of Bangkok’s delights. The free boat ride is worth the experience itself with a fantastic view of life on the river. On the way back to the hotel you can feel how the city loosens its grip, while you enjoy an ice-cold bottle of water and the cold, wet cloth, that the boat staff is handing out to all the passengers.

The resort is one of the most child-friendly in Bangkok. There is plenty of room for activities – a large pool area with a separate children’s pool and a children’s club, where they can be happily left for awhile. During this time the parents can make use of the other hotel offerings such as a treatment in the impressive Mandara Spa, a trip to the gym, a tennis match or a drink in one of the 10 restaurants or bars. The resort is a five star hotel and the prices are of the same standard The size of the standard rooms are not impressive, but this is less important as the rest of the facilities are luxurious.

Anantara Bangkok Riverside is truly an extravagant oasis in the city. It is probably one of the few resorts in Bangkok, where people come from overseas only to vacation at this particular place.
